Double Casting Time 20/20/20/20 Staff - Guild Wars Forums

I have this staff and was wondering about the stats and how they work together. Does the double halves cast time really work together? Is it possible to get the +1 fire AND the halves cast time in the same cast? How do these stats work together? Has anyone done any testing? Does the Halves casting time stack or does it only count one?

Yes, you could get all those bonuses to trigger on one skill, they are all checked for separately.

When you cast a skill the game rolls a dice or something ( you know what i mean

) and :

Checks if it will give you halve skill recharge
It checks if it gives you a halve casting time
Then it checks again if it gives you halve casting time (if both get a yes you will get a quarter casting time on the spell)
It also checks if it gives you a +1 on the attributes

So it could easily get a no on all of these or a yes on all of them or a no or yes one any of them in any order and combination.

Wasn't that removed in one of the updates some time ago so that the casting time reduction is maxed at half time.

Pls comfirm this all cuz im running quadruple 20% with 20/20 wand and 20/20 off hands which might be nerfed now.

Recharge reduction is maxed at half, casting is not.

Good ty as I wouldt had understood why some of my MS, 1 outa 50 average is instant no charge at all.

With this staff you have a 36% probability to have a fire spell cast at least halved, and 4% probability to have a cast time divided by four (both 20% half cast time trigger).

You have a 0.8% probability to get all three bonus to trigger on the same spell.

I have the same on an Obsidian Earth staff I made myself.

When I get both HCT of Earth Magic happening on a Dragon's Stomp it's almost as good as a Cry of Frustration!
